David Novotny Joins Cape Fear Commercial to Lead New Construction Affiliate

Cape Fear Construction Group is pleased to announce that David Novotny, a specialist in construction operations with two decades of experience, has been selected to serve as president of the company. Novotny will oversee the construction of select multifamily development projects for Cape Fear Commercial, which currently has 18 projects, totaling more than 3,400 units, under development across the Southeast.

The launch of Cape Fear Construction will allow Cape Fear Commercial to serve as a general contractor for some of its own projects, resulting in a more streamlined development process and the realization of meaningful efficiencies.

During his career, Novotny coordinated the development of numerous multifamily projects from site work through job completion, including two mixed-use projects in the Mayfaire community — The Reserve and the Village. These successful projects illustrated a new precedent for quality, mixed-use development in the Wilmington area at the time of their completion.

With a versatile background, proven track record, and solid reputation, David was the ideal candidate for the job.
